What I mean is that they will come up positive for HSV on a titer. If they come up positive how come labs can't distinguish whether it is HS1 or HS2? Patients can't understand this and when you tell them simply HS1 is above the neck and HS2 is in the genital area, they jump to conclusions and think they might have an STD without knowing it (because they never had a genital lesion).Is there a way
